Mark Zuckerberg Says Facebook won't ban Holocaust deniers

Mark Zuckerberg says Facebook won't ban Holocaust deniers or conspiracy theorists like Infowars because doing so would go against Facebook's principle of "giving people a voice."
In a wide-ranging interview with Recode's Kara Swisher published on Wednesday, the 34-year-old CEO discussed Facebook's approach to tackling hoaxes and misinformation, and defended his company's decision not to delete hoax peddlers' posts or ban them outright.
I'm Jewish, and there's a set of people who deny that the Holocaust happened ... I find that deeply offensive," Zuckerberg said. "But at the end of the day, I don't believe that our platform should take that down because I think there are things that different people get wrong. I don't think that they're intentionally getting it wrong."

He said he believe it's not Facebook's place to remove content just because it isn't factual, unless it risks actively causing harm to someone. "It's hard to impugn intent and to understand the intent. I just think, as abhorrent as some of those examples are, I think the reality is also that I get things wrong when I speak publicly ... I just don't think that it is the right thing to say, 'We're going to take someone off the platform if they get things wrong, even multiple times.'
He added: "What we will do is we'll say, 'Okay, you have your page, and if you're not trying to organize harm against someone, or attacking someone, then you can put up that content on your page, even if people might disagree with it or find it offensive.' But that doesn't mean that we have a responsibility to make it widely distributed in News Feed."
Zuckerberg's remarks come as the company attempts to recover from a string of bruising scandals, including the spread of fake news and misinformation on its platform by Russian agents and other hoaxers.

In recent weeks, the spotlight has been on Infowars, a conspiracy theory-peddling website that has falsely claimed the Sandy Hook mass shooting was faked. The company has insisted it is cracking down on fake news, but refuses to delete Infowars' page on the social network, where it has more than 900,000 followers.
Zuckerberg said that instead, Facebook's algorithm is punishing fake news pushers, meaning their posts get fewer views and they get less traffic from Facebook's News Feed.

Asked about Infowars, the chief executive said: "The approach that we've taken to false news is not to say, you can't say something wrong on the internet. I think that that would be too extreme. Everyone gets things wrong, and if we were taking down people's accounts when they got a few things wrong, then that would be a hard world for giving people a voice and saying that you care about that. But at the same time ... I do think we have a responsibility to make sure that those aren't hoaxes and blatant misinformation.

He added: "As abhorrent as some of this content can be, I do think that it gets down to this principle of giving people a voice."

Cristiano Ronaldo has moved into his stunning new villa, which he chose as it reminded him of his former home in Madrid. Cristiano Ronaldo, girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez and their four children have moved in their new home in the north of Italy. Yesterday, the Portuguese star touched down in Turin on his private jet and headed to the mansion where he will live for next season. His new luxurious home is located behind the Gran Madre in Turin. According to La Gazetta dello Sport, the Juventus footballer has opted for a modern and vanguard construction which reminded him of his former home in Madrid

Apparently, Ronaldo has acquired not one, but two connected villas with separate entrances, large gardens, a swimming pool and a gym. The villa is situated on a hill with lush vegetation hiding it from the view of surrounding houses, as well as paparazzi and others who may be determined to take snaps of the ex-Real Madrid star.

The villa boasts spectaculars views of the city with hills to one side and a river to the other, and is located close to one of the most impressive pieces of architecture in Turin and popular tourist site, the church of The Great Mother. “It’s as if Turin were at the feet of CR7, a tribute of the city to the long-awaited and newly-arrived champion,” says La Gazetta dello Sport.
Ronaldo and his family will be neighbours of the Italian-American businessman, John Elkann president of the automotive company Fiat Chrysler Automobiles.

MAN AND TIMEZONE

This is going to reflect on how man sees life and how life clocks for man..
Every man; when asked about the future must certainly respond positively because no one believes in poverty until it strikes..

‎Being a man is not about growing up and becoming matured but by taking decisions and responsibilities,  knowing fully well what needs to be done and getting it done properly .

Listen, the truth is; not everyone can be able to take up these decisions and responsibilities due to one thing or the other;  maybe disabilities , sickness or poverty . It's natural
‎Sometimes ,the ones who are able to do  so ;are left with little or no headstart or resources to aid them ,all these factors might cause them to lose hope and give up quickly.
‎But honestly ,giving up hope is not at all a solution to a problem, "when you don't hunt what hunts you , you will end up becoming a hopeless prey" .You got to put in your best and if it doesn't work out ,it is not your best yet.
‎It doesn't really matter how much time it costs you, What matters is the Result. As we all have different faces, different voices, mind and soul ,so is our "Time" "clock" or "Timezone " .Rome wasn't built in a day, so you have to keep the persistence on increase.

‎In our everyday lives,  we see people prospering, making it, accumulating wealth and living large, most of which we know from our tender age,  some might happen to be your age mates, some your classmates etc..
‎You begin to think why your own case appeared different , you begin to stress yourself in the mental domain , you begin to question your creator (God) , you cry and shed tears.. Believe me,  Those people are already in their timezone, into it they found comfort.

‎You may have tried in so many ways to prosper but the result comes out not so good, just be patient, keep on trying ,keep on pushing and keep the hope high. Definitely, one day you will clock into your own timezone and find comfort as well .When it happens, your horrible pasts will be your testimony, your miserable pasts will transcend into immeasurable joy..
‎Those awaiting responsibilities of yours will come begging on you to take them.. Finally, you will be happy

REAL MADRID TO TEST THEIR NUMBER NO. 9s IN TALLIN

Everyone is calm in Real Madrid, there is complete trust and confidence in the current squad who will face their first season under the guidance of Julen Lopetegui after Zinedine Zidane's departure, coinciding with Cristiano
Ronaldo's own

Losing the stars of the past few seasons which have been hugely successful, it seems that it will be a challenge for Los Blancos to fight for the five titles that they could win.

That does not mean that they are not looking for potential signings at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu, with the likes of Eden Hazard and Robert Lewandowski having been monitored, but the demands of Chelsea and Bayern Munich look set to make any move impossible.

The club are not prepared to delve into a market which has blown up in prices following the 222 million euro move for Neymar last summer.

Such inflated fees put off Florentino Perez, who is leading the club's transfer activity and is reluctant to spend more than required.

"We have a great team," he insists, pointing to having won four of the last five Champions League titles.

The Super Cup is decisive

Despite having lost their big star in Cristiano Ronaldo, Real Madrid are not planning to look to the market unless there is an opportunity which is too good to turn down.
If the club are forced to buy, they will do so at reasonable prices as they believe in the players currently in the team.

The first tests of pre-season for Los Blancos include the likes of Manchester United, Juventus and Roma in the International Champions Cup.

Then comes D-Day in the meeting with Europe's strongest defence as they face Atletico Madrid in a Madrid derby in the UEFA Super Cup in Tallinn.

That tie will decide whether directors stick with their belief that the current options are good enough and can replace Ronaldo's goals, or not.

For the US tour, Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema, Vinicius Junior and Co. will all be trusted with the role of No. 9.

They will be given the task to forget Cristiano Ronaldo, and all 50 of his goals every season, which must be done if there will be

It's a tough test, but the Super Cup will make all the difference.
